Flip Mode

I got the call from Makaela on a Friday morning to set up a shoot that same afternoon. She wanted to shoot on location at her apartment and the idea was to emulate a Guess brand aesthetic, which typically involves a lot of flash and washed out images. We started out shooting carefully planned compositions and went into flip mode and stopped caring about "shooting rules". I shot from the hip in quick succession, and changed lighting styles in between series'; while she mixed and matched wardrobe pieces and ventured into new poses. We had a lot of laughs breaking classical photography "rules" and enjoying the moment and space we were in.
